Great place and people! / The place was spotless and the service absolutely wonderful!!! The location is so close to everything you could possibly need. They allow pets and the dog park is less than a half mile away, so close 👍🏻 We will be staying here more!

Wow! What a gem! The rooms are spacious & very well thought out. It had everything I needed for a short stay on my drive home and the bed was extremely comfortable! Definitely recommend!!

Once you stay here you will put it on your place to stop again if you are traveling through. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was wonderful. Perfect weight blanket. So many motels have such a heavy comforter that you can only use the sheet. Amy was very accommodating.

Mountain rural hospitality with just the right vibe / You can spend more in this pricey area, but you won't capture a better value. This host knows what modern urban families desire in a mountain rural venue: clean suite, welcoming readiness, hassle-free check-in and checkout, easy road access, and young eagles looking over your arrival. This is a classic 1950s auto court (drive up to your room) but with fastidious attention to the desires and needs of the modern traveler. The view of Schweitzer is great. Hey folks, the price is right.

I've stayed at the Outdoor Inn several times now, and it's been wonderful every time. The owners and employees are very polite and accommodating. The rooms are kept clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the Outdoor Inn to anybody that is looking for a nice place at a great price while in the Sandpoint area.

Gorgeous, Clean and so much more- just go! / I LOVE THIS PLACE. My boyfriend and I had spent two nights in our van and I wanted a quiet clean place for a night and this was so much more than that!!! I walked in exhaled. It's gorgeous, so clean and the bed was lovely (we had the king). I took two showers because I could. The soap and lotion were lovely. The kitchenette was perfect, and they even had some tasteful holiday decor. I'm a light sleeper and the traffic didn't bother me. The train rumbling by is heaven to me. I will be back again and again maybe next month. And go to the Hoot Owl down the street for breakfast or a grab and go egg sandwich before hitting the slopes.

Outdoors Inn is the best of the best. The staff is great and thoughtful in every way.

Once again, it was perfect. / This was our second time staying here and, once again, it provided everything we needed. We were looking for an overnight stop close to our trailhead. If you are looking for a clean comfortable room with a few nice amenities and a very cozy bed, look no further.

Perfect little room for a staycation! Self check in was a breeze. We opted for the room with the large jetted tub and it was HUGE. So relaxing. There is quite a bit of traffic and train noise but that didn’t bother us; just be aware if you are sensitive to those kinds of things.

Excellent stay in Ponderay / Exceptional service, I booked the wrong day and not only did Amy accommodate us she upgraded the room for no charge. Also loved the story about the rubber duck being on migration, far better than just a rubber duck. Would definitely look this one up if in the area

The Outdoor Inn is a little hidden gem. My room was comfortable and cozy. After a long day of traveling all you need is a place that the linen and towels are crisp. Thank you

This classic roadside motel is definitely on my list of places I’d love to visit again.
It’s close enough to modern conveniences, but also gives you the feeling of remote, peaceful serenity. The room was clean, designed extremely well and had everything I needed - a comfortable bed and a perfectly outfitted kitchenette.
Highly recommended as “the” place to stay when in Sandpoint.
